You can have an expensive set of entertainment system attached to an HDMI cable at home and you have the right to feel proud about it. Ugly cables or not, you need them to switch on all your entertainment devices. When you install an HD satellite or cable installation in general you will get the appropriate cable along with the installation. If you install the HD satellite you need to use an HDMI cable. Additionally, the TV set needs to have various inputs so it is not applicable if you purchase one without additional inputs. You need various inputs so that you can connect the Blu-ray, sound system and other devices that you usually use together with your TV.
